Schröder’s new EVO Heavy Duty folder is the only one of its kind. The latest addition to Schröder’s extensive line of industrial folders can fold up to 5/8″ mild steel and 1/2″ stainless to a bending length of 10′. The versatility of this model is unrivalled, as it can form any thickness of material from max capacity down to shim stock with a single tool set. Multiple gauge options, as well as a gripping system that automatically feeds your profiles through the bending sequence, provide production advantages that no other method of bending can match. Remove the need for multiple operators and the hazardous conditions associated with handling thick plate, and let the machine do the work.
Once programmed, these folding machines can be operated with minimal effort. The operator only needs to load a sheet and position it against a support, without having to fully or partially support it. Automatic feeding systems are also available.
Requires Minimal Tooling
Practically all folding angles and radius can be achieved with a single tool geometry, including a number of crushed folds.
Setup times are very quick. This allows you to produce smaller batches of parts just in time, increasing efficiency and reducing inventory.
This type of folding offers high precision and excellent repeatability. Furthermore, this method results in very minimal marking on the parts.
